Week 16 :)

Right now...
Ranen is in the tractor with Ben...
the printer is firing out prints...
the house is half cleaned :)....
and I am going to post a blog ON. TIME. :)

Last week - a busy and successful one!
I had quite a few meetings with soon-to-be brides...
so much fun - I love wedding designing :)
- Just a heads up... a few more days to get 10% off!! -

Saturday was a fabulous day - full of sun and hard work!

My wonderful dad and mom came to work on the fence - the
boards are up now... soon to come - the wire and
Ranen will be allowed outside at her leisure!!
(without me having to worry about tractors, ditches, the road, etc, etc!)
Can't wait... because our monkey loves the outdoors!

Saturday morning involved ripping out all the old big bushes in front of
our house!!  Yay!  We are starting with a new look!
Ivan came to help with rototilling - thanks bud!
(it was some payback for me helping him with some homework
- and he got 100% on that assignment so a fair deal I say!)
Thanks to Jack at Silverstone Garden, for the design
and organizing all the plants and planting :)
It was all done by 1 in the afternoon :)
Then I finished adding the extra screws in the fence boards and now
we are ready to continue....
After washing the car I must say I was DONE for the day!!

Helping Daddy... we saved 3 plants - the rest are on the burn pile
(well until Oma Lindhout rescues them that is!!)
It was time for a fresh start :)
The big rhodo shrubs were just about to bloom... Had we waited another
week we could have enjoyed them but more than likely field work will
be extremely busy then so better done now :)

One of the few flowers in bloom....            ...before it got ripped out!!

The shovel and I got into a fight while I dug out the day lillies
 that I saved for Oma...

The new look:  (looks sparse yet but will grow:)
-this really doesn't do it justice but had to include a picture-
What it should look like in a couple of years...

Cathrine helped out on Wednesday last week and these two monkeys
had fun on Ranen's rocker...

Then Opa and Oma came by for a walk to the Heron Nests...
I love where we live.
Over 100 inhabited nests in the Blue Heron Reserve.
The eggs are close to hatching and by June the young will be sitting
along the water streams already!

I do believe this is my favourite 'in-flight' bird picture ever...

I think I have a picture of this tree in every season now...

The doctors have me doing weekly non-stress tests again
for the last 8 weeks of pregnancy...
On thursday I went while Mom took care of Ranen
...  this baby is quite VERY active!!!
Especially for the 45 min I was attached to the monitor.
The straight black lines are from when I feel movement -
so yeah, basically continually!
I must say, I never tire of feeling movement though!
Hoping and praying all goes well...

Going out to enjoy the sun and water my plants :)  xo

Week 15

I seem to be slacking off a little in the taking pictures department...
We've been having some hectic weeks -
Ben worked 90 hours and then was delayed with the rain
so once it turns nice again he will be busy ...
they are planting approx 100 acres into grass around the home farm here :)
Means shorter trips for hauling manure for the next 7 years or so - such a bonus!

The print shop is busy with design and print for weddings!
... I love designing for wedding because you build up a theme
for invites, programs, thank you cards and the like :)
So much fun and so much variety!!
If you are getting married this year...
remember to contact me for 10% off in April!

Ranen has really picked up on talking lately...
2, 3, or 4 words are being put together :)
Like the other day I think she was trying to tell me that she wanted to go with Ben in the tractor
after supper because she said "Nener supper daddy tractor"
'Nener' if her nickname for Ranen:)
So cute! - so much fun :)
I love being a mom!

Beware of all white trucks like this.... no joke - it is equipped with red and blue lights!!
Apparently our tax dollars are spent on fuel for dual wheel Ford truck police vehicles.
Saw him with some random car pulled over along the highway - not me :)

Showing Daddy pictures of our Vancouver day trip :)

We had a few lovely critters infesting a drawer in our pantry!!
Caught 7 mice in 24 hours :)

Beautiful spring...

Off to eat dinner... more pictures next week!!

Birthdays :)

Sister-in-law Richelle had her 26th birthday yesterday....
she says 26 feels old!!
She is a happy, loving dedicated mother who
treasures spending time with her 2 kidlets and fabulous hubby!!
We stopped by there yesterday morning for coffee :)
(much better than the glucose-blood-sugar-testing-liquid
that I had to have for breakfast!!!)
and some very yummy pie....
Ranen actually is able to say Tanner now... so cute!

So i guess this was taken when you were still 'young'.... xo

Happy birthday Richelle - hope you had a great day :)

Last night, my niece Jacqueline
came and 'crashed' in the hot tub/house with 5 of her
friends for a spa birthday party!!
She turned the big 16!!!!
face masks, foot massages, hand/feet rubs, etc etc... it was great!!

(Please don't hate me for posting these!!)

applying the masks in the bathroom...

20 minutes of relaxation... complete with music and foot massages
(or tickling according to Corina!!)

Removing the masks...

Foot cream!

Hope you like the pics girls...
I have some more so will give a disc to Jacqueline with them :)

Week 14 :)

Here it is...  week 14!!

Ranen seems to notice everything in the sky...
from eagles soaring to the difference
between airplanes and jets :)

Last week we cleared the grass so that we could mow...
unfortunately our lawn is still not mown!

Isn't it funny, how when the sun shines for a few days we forget how wet it really was!!
On Saturday we jumped along in the motorhome with
my parents, Steve & Cath, Cayden, Derek & Janine...
off we were to Ambleside Park for breakfast,
followed by joining up with Chris & Richelle and Taycin and Tanner
at the aquarium and then
we biked the seawall -
What a GORGEOUS day we had :)
... and you can't forget - watching 'birds' at the airport!!
nothing tops off a day in Vancouver quite like watching planes!
 (at least to a Lindhout!)
[Ben had to do field work... so one day soon we will head there again!]

Our fabulous chefs :)  Thanks for the good breakfast Dad and Mom!

while we played, discovered and bonded :)...

The city really can be beautiful...

Blossoms were in full bloom :)

Cath and I both find that we don't have very many pictures of us
with our kidlets so we made a point of capturing eachother....

Auntie Janine worked on Ranen's fear of swings...
and in no time she was going on her own!

Look Mom!!!                             On a mission: Cayden

L.O.V.E.

L.O.V.E. x2

The little mini playground/slide was a huge hit!!

Off to the aquarium:

Checking out the dolphins...
Thanks Aunt Nel for letting us use your bike - sure beats mine!!
and a lot easier having a seat then pulling a trailer!

We finished off the day with hot dogs at the airport...

Auntie Janine sure is good with the kids...  and they love her!

What we get a kick out of:
