Change...

... with both kids!

 

They are growing so fast:

Ranen just moved into a 'big girl' bed

and loves it!!  She had absolutely no problem

with the transition - lovely!

Night 1:

When she woke up the next morning I heard the door

open and close and then "Ranen all done sleeping!"

 

Now Owen will be moving out of our bedroom

from his place right beside our bed...

I will miss being able to reach out my hand

and touch him in his little moses basket

but he has outgrown it so quickly...

Off to the crib in the next room he goes...

(even though Ranen is having a little trouble with that!!)

Oh, this guy is so much fun now...

another change for the better - goodbye colic!!

 

On Saturday, the 18th we had a soccer fundraiser tourney

for a group going down to Haiti to build houses...

We raised over $4000 for them and it was tons of fun!

(We ended up second best :) - lost 8-7 in the finals!!)

So much fun - thanks for hosting Mitch and Sarah!!

The kids loved their playground there:)

Corina works fulltime on the farm here now
and we LOVE having her around!!

Also... the fence is done!! Ranen gets to spend as much time as
she wants outside!! Thanks a ton Dad!! We love you!

Remembering...

our dear precious firstborn, Landon.

Today marks 3 years since the stillbirth of

our precious son.

The longing, the void, the remembering...

So far it has been a difficult, trying week...

lets hope for better days to come.

Summer :)

Summer is here in it's full glory...

It seems we find every oppurtunity to complain about the

tons of rain we receive but hardly acknowledge a

great stretch of good weather!

We have been enjoying many afternoons and evenings

in the pool...

going for walk/runs...

gardening

ripping out a rock berm

hopefully finishing off our fence (soon)

picking apples for applesauce

swinging

visiting Daddy at the farm

and much more

It has been busy!

It has been good! Real good!

 oh, how much he brightens up our day!!

(so awesome that we are almost over the colic stage!! YAY!)

Loving cherries...

we have learnt: to avoid stains - remove clothing!!

And for extra emphasis:

I LOVE spending a nice warm Saturday

doing yardwork with my hubby!!  Absolutely LOVE!

Love being outside and love doing a bit of physical work!!

Love him and love our time together :)

Today, 5 years ago, I married

the love of my life.

how to describe how much I enjoy

sharing my life with you?

My heart swells with love daily

for all the things you do for me and our family,

we are your first priority

and when you open your heart and give so freely,

we feel so blessed!

We have experienced much together...

living in the 600 square foot 'love shack',

each going off to work every day and coming

home to each other's arms;

travelling to Africa together,

(oh, the memories...)

 can't wait to return here one day....

Making a point of spending time together

and not always being caught up in the rush of go here, go there;

The joy of finding out that we were pregnant

to the heartbreak of losing our firstborn,

to the immense joy when Ranen was born,

and the recent special welcoming of Owen;

Moving twice and now staying put for a while,

Going on family holidays and enjoying one another's company,

choosing the right moment to ground the other,

or for pushing to the extreme,

we compliment eachother beautifully.

Working through difficulties,

to come through better on the other side,

regular visits to see you on the farm,

being welcomed with open arms and wide smiles!

hearing Daddy and Mommy for the first time,

hearts aching for the one we miss,

hearts bursting for the smiles and giggles we receive,

Hoping to spend many more years with you,

and the they may be truly blessed years...
