WOW!
I had some ME time today...
after what feels like months behind a computer
I got to be outside, enjoy the sun (burn slightly perhaps),
shoot around a golf ball
and have a GRAND time...
It has rejuvenated me, put a spring back into my step...
yes, I have been lacking that lately!
Can almost say that I have energy to do like house work now or
something, (Ben, I said almost... please don't count on it being clean!)
Wow... what a day like today does!
May need to do it more often...
(seeing I do still have a spa gift certificate from
my birthday last December in my purse!!)
So the story behind my absence here!
Yup, sucks I know!
But Dad and Mom are super duper pleased!!
Since the end of June I have pumped every. spare. moment.
into their anniversary gift (not even exaggerating!)
End of August we gifted them with a 133 page album
of their 30 years of pictures (best ones... as Mom has millions
so we had a pile of sorting to do :)
and also a 9 panel refinished barn window frame
with canvas baby pictures inserted...
It all turned out GREAT
....
but yes, I am happy to be done with the work
(and will be running any future projects past Ben for his
consent before I agree as I tend not to judge well as to work involved!)
lol.... thanks Love with helping out on the home front
and supporting me...
Also, Cathrine, Laura and Richelle for your extra efforts you put in...
sorting pictures, watching my kids etc.... loved having the extra time with you!!
Hope to share the book's pages on here soon
... if it is not too large files!!
Some pictures from today...
the story behind today...
The vet company that the farm uses put on a golf tournament -
the farm had 4 spots reserved but seeing there was grass and corn to
harvest, and the weather is good they had to work...
all except Corina - she still got to go and Dad, Chris and I were lucky
enough to join! thanks to Mom for taking the kids...
I had a lovely day!
(please, try plan next year's for corn harvest season again!! lol)
Anyhow, hoping to post some of the happenings from around here...
was reminded that I have missed posting Ben's father's day gift
(yes, it was an album from the past year)
hope to also show you the work we have done on fence around pool,
parent's anniversary gift,
trip to Osoyoos and Pentiction,
a new photo shoot I did this week,
first - I need to help at the farm tomorrow and Friday...
Friday we host a tour to approx. 80 diplomats
who would like a tour of what a farm is in today's day and age
and what it looks like for the future...
I have designed posters and brochures for this event.
and definitely plan to be done with the computer designing for a while!!
Always SOMETHING going on around here...
would LOVE and APPRECIATE some tips on
how.to.slow.my.life.DOWN.
(the first tip I will give myself... learn to say NO)
WOW!!! Mom
ReplyDelete(lol)
Looks like you've been busy! You're crazy!
ReplyDeleteSecond tip (for slowing down your life)... keep a running list of all the little moments and things you notice throughout your day... helps you slow down enough to pay attention to the little things that matter :)
