Silverstar...

What better way to celebrate Dad's birthday
than to share the long awaited Silverstar post...
My dad...
dedicated family man...
beyond-hard worker...
super giving...
love him like crazy!

Happy birthday Dad!! Looking forward to Canton's
tonight with the fam! :)

He is the one, sore knees and all, who heads out with me to
take my 'stubborn' (yeah I said that) daughter to try skiing...
picked the wrong time - late afternoon - well, lets say she went
about 20 feet, if that, but we got a picture!!

A pretty-much-annual family holiday for the last 18 years or so...
a much loved and enjoyed winter tradition!

The drive up...
*(some pics are iphone quality... dissapointing!!)

Really wishing I took my 'real' camera to the evening of skating...
trying to please hubby and not be behind the lens on all family memories
but really not liking the quality of these pics much!!

Happy in the sun rays....

Skating.... much to Ranen's happiness we rented her a pair of skates!!

Tubing... loved the pull up, coaxed down each run!

Fire... gotta love!

Able to sled right outside the house...

 Cutie-pie!

Another annual tradition... the family calendar!  We picked it up from the printer
(it runs Feb - Jan) the day before we headed out so I took them along
to give to everyone there...  always so fun to look through!

Mornings with cousins... doesnt get much better than that!

Ring around the rosey with Corina... doesnt get much better than that!
(especially in Owen's opinion... a daily tradition for him here!)

Cayden did amazing on the skis!!

Gotta act like the big boys...

Cuddles with her Daddy....

Yahtzee!

 sisterly love...

Phase 10!

The drive home... Owen refused to fall asleep - until Ranen
held his hand and then he was out like a light!

Oh the joys, oh the memories...
wonderful times...
treasured! xo

DineOut Vancouver

What a fabulous evening...

Some restaurants in Vancouver and area put on a 2 week special
for fine dining where you have a very limited menu
but for a very reasonable price!!

For $38 we enjoyed an 3 course dinner
in the Revolving Tower looking over Vancouver...

The view was stunning!

The company was pretty grand too!!

Seeing some of us are rather picky eaters we checked out a few
menus before hand and chose a restaurant based on the menu...
appy: stuffed mushrooms caps, ceasar salad, cream of mushroom soup
main course: chicken cordon blue, tenderloin steak, fish or lamb
desert: cheesecake or mago panna cotta

(Ben is the only one who ventured off to try the lamb...)

Top it off with getting babysitters and taking the sky train in ...
we had a wonderful experience!
(we missed Susanna though as she had an exam the next day
and had to stay home and study...)
