Yellow!

I Heart Faces photo challenge this week is Yellow...  Ranen absolutely LOVES her bath - like it is temper tantrum time when Mommy decides that after a half hour in the bath she should probably come out!  Ranen's favourite bath toy is her little duck so this morning I decided to take a few pictures of her with it!  She regularly tries to put it on her head so today I helped her balance it up there and she thought it was hilarious :)

Seriously...

...WE HAVE BEEN BUSY!! 

It has been SO long since I posted!!  Well... a few updates:

** We are all moved over [other than all the printing stuff - waiting for internet to be installed there and then that is moving over too]

** Ranen is furniture walking like a pro and doing 3 steps on her own - she is scared when we let go so now we get her to hold a toy and then she does her steps to us! [still no crawling though]

** Ranen loves throwing temper tantrums when things don't quite go her way...

** Today we are finally cutting the cover crops down so that we can hopefully get in the fields to plant corn - it has been so we this year - usually corn is planted already!!

** We got the hot tub running last night - YIPPEE!

** Ranen has 2 more teeth [she is up to 7 now!]

** Did I mention that it is sunny today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

** Tomorrow is our fundraising soccer tournament (12 teams playing from 8 till 8) - raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society!!  Feel free to come by and show your support - selling sandwiches and wraps for lunch and burgers for dinner!  Final game is from 7 to 8 p.m. in which our team is really hoping to be a part of!  You can find us on Kitchen Hall Road (the road that runs from Jesperson to Kitchen Road)!

Anyhow, here are some pictures - we went out last week to take Cayden's 1 year pictures and Ranen's  9 month pictures!  What a scene - no matter what we did we could not get our generally smiley girl to smile!!! We only got one smile the first day so the next day I stood her by a tree and got 2 more smiles - but apparently she doesn't want mom to hold a camera!!!  Cayden - he is a pro and was great for us [in his Mommy's words: a show off]!!  Here are just a few of the pics - don't want to spoil the fun of handing out actual pictures :)

Engagement Shoot - K&J

Pets

It's the time of the week to enter I Heart Faces photo challenge again.   Usually they require that you have a human face in the picture but this week we need an animal face.  Here is my entry:

Mia - Our very loyal dog who is calm and wonderful with Ranen (unless there is food around - the biggest pig you'll ever find!!)  Ranen loves letting her lick her toes and fingers and goes crazy when she sees her through the window - here's proof on that one!:

She is so loyal to Ben that when he first moved to the farm and he left Mia at his parents she started digging holes, eating the wood from the patio etc...  anything to make Ben take her along!  Sure enough - in no time she was living at the farm!  Mia also really enjoys fetching balls or rocks or anything else we will throw for her:)  and swimming!

I Heart Faces Contest - Wind

As soon as I saw the topic of this week's photo challenge I knew which picture I would enter.  Last July (yes, I was like 8.5 months pregnant and it was like 38 degrees!!!) I took pictures at a friends wedding...  it was an extremely hot day and wasn't overly windy but every now and then there was a beautiful breeze - it caught her veil and took it up...

Baby Steps!

It sure has been a while since I posted!!  We have been rather busy with the house - tearing down wall paper, filling holes, picking out colours, painting, etc., etc.  I really wish I took pictures of the before and after of the wall paper rooms - but oh well!!

More importantly - Ranen has a few new things she is really proud of!!

Really, she knows she's a BIG girl now (never mind that she hasn't crawled - she figures that she will just walk instead because she has to keep up to Cayden right?! - except that he is walking without holding onto anything so she has a bit to go!)

Yesterday, while I was painting I heard Ranen making her usual noise that means she is excited or happy about something - I thought maybe Ben showed up but when I looked up I see her standing, holding onto her toy box and walking!! She pushed the toy box for about 5 steps before falling!! :)

On Saturday we went for a bike ride with some of Ben's family from our house to the Vedder bridge (the one that goes up to Cultus!)  Yes, quite a work out pulling a heavy bike cart, with a 23lb girl and her car seat...  But there was much beauty to see!

And I also need to still say Happy Birthday to Helen (she turned 30!! a while back and I really wanted to do a special post to mark this happy occasion but.... maybe next year!!)

Oh... Happy Day!!

Yesterday we found out... we are going to be moving!  We are rather excited over here...  We have known for a while that this was a likely possibility but didn't want to share it until we knew for sure!  Here is what the house looks like...

Yes, we are rather excited... I am actually going to have cupboards and closets (just maybe I will be able to stay organized now - well at least I won't have an excuse not to be :) )  It is 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and has a large room for my printing stuff that is somewhat seperated from our living area.  And we still live right by the farm which is a dream come true because we LOVE going outside to see Daddy.  Our backyard...

Includes a swimming pool, hot tub and greenhouse...  Apparently I hear from many that we should count on company coming our way frequently!!

Yes, we are an excited bunch - time to start moving the garage over I think... so I better get moving!

To top it off...  a few pictures of our precious daughter.   She loves animals so much it seems like the majority of pictures that I have of her are with either the dogs, calves, cows, horses, etc...

I love the look on her face here...  she loves it and giggles when the calf sucks her hand but yet she has the look of "you do anything wrong calf.... and I will pull out my hand!!"

XO have a great day!  Time for me to go fold some laundry, pick paint colours and start moving the stuff in the garage:)
